Information about becoming a Member of the Trust

By becoming a member of the Trust you will be playing a crucial role in saving Hartlebury Castle and the unique Hurd Library and ensuring public access for the future.

Your membership fee can be gift-aided and the money raised will be used as follows:

• Our campaigning has been successful in getting us to the negotiating table and we have been given a two year option to buy, the details of which are still being worked out. Now we have to raise at least £2.5 million. We are working on grant bids and seeking sponsorship as well as undertaking a massive fund-raising campaign.
   

• At present everyone involved is giving their time and expertise as volunteers but we will have to employ some professional consultants and legal advisers to enable the purchase to go ahead and the grant funds to be raised. We already have some funds to pay these fees but will need some of the money we raise now to ensure that we can do this as necessary.

However, we have every expectation that within the next couple of months we will be able all our members the following benefits:

• Advance notice of events

• A bi-monthly newsletter keeping you up to date with our progress
