imagine…..the perfect setting for your perfect wedding!
Perhaps
you will have a religious ceremony at the nearby St. James’
Church (situated near the end of the Castle drive). Or your
preference may be for a Civil Ceremony in the exquisitely
decorated Saloon. Whatever your choice you would arrive by
driving (perhaps in a horse drawn carriage) up the quarter
mile long, tree lined avenue into the carriage circle in
front of this beautiful building. Your photographs could be
taken in the lush grounds or in the Castle itself. You would
have the choice of formal or informal outdoor settings, or
indoors in the mediaeval Great Hall – perhaps on the
impressively symmetrical staircase.
After
receiving your guests in the elegant Saloon, you would move
through the grand double doors into the Great Hall for the
Wedding Banquet (with capacity for seating up to 100 people
formally).
Of course
at the moment this dream wedding is only a dream but it is
one which the Trust aims to make a reality as soon as they
achieve their goal of acquiring and managing the Castle.

Please note:
At present (February 2010) the Trust is still negotiating,
with the Church Commissioners, the details of the agreement
for the option to buy the castle. Until this agreement is
finalised we are not in a position to give out information
about the costs of holding an event at the castle or to take
provisional bookings for future events. We are sorry about
this delay, which is outside our control. Should you wish
us to contact you as soon as we are able to take bookings or
give out details of costs, please e-mail
weddings@hartleburycastletrust.org and ask for your
details to be put on file. In the meantime do keep visiting
the web-site for updates on our progress. It would be
appreciated if telephone enquiries about costs and bookings
are not at made at this stage. It is not likely
that any wedding events can take place at the castle until
the start of 2012.
